In 1997 Antoinette Murray started her first small business. By 2004 Antoinette joined forces
with Doreen Manamela which culminated in the birth of Bison Mining Supplies CC. The aim from
the outset was to comply with statutory requirements of Black Economic Empowerment. As a result
of their commitment to comply with these requirements, Bison Mining Supplies was awarded BWO
(Black Woman Operation) status. In March 2006 Bison Mining Supplies bought Frances Motors (Pty) Ltd trading as Witbank Distributors. In June 2008 Bison Mining Supplies and Witbank Distributors merged into one business. Subsequently Bison Mining Supplies was accredited as a Level Three Contributor by Seera (Pty) Ltd. Bison Mining Supplies recently occupied their new building at 7 Van Rensburg Noord Ave, Witbank, which has a comprehensive stock holding. The stock ranges from Personal Protective clothing, equipment, catering and corporate clothing to janitorial and maintenance cleaning products. This is by no means an extensive list of the stock carried at Bison Mining Supplies. The Bison Team have
